Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl (September 2013) We are excited to announce UPDATES to the plans for the 2013 SenioRITAs at Sawgrass. The Women's Doubles Tennis Tournament and associated events will benefit The RITA Foundation which supports Breast Cancer Research at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville & Baptist Medical Center Beaches.
With 142 teams registered to date, the excitement is building for this all-volunteer organization that has raised over $800,000 since 2000. 100% of the event’s proceeds go directly to fighting breast cancer through research.
NEW THIS YEAR:
· During the tournament days, professional Drx. skin cancer screenings for ladies will be available
· Physical therapy companies (In Motion and Premier Physical Therapy) will hold group stretch classes prior to each match & neck/shoulder massages for the players
· Vicar’s Landing & Glenmoor are providing transportation to shuttle attendees to & from the Sawgrass CC golf clubhouse to the tennis facility on Friday, Saturday & Sunday (October 18-20).
· SenioRITAs Title sponsor is “The Brumos Companies”
· Featured sponsors are: CSX, SunTrust, The Main Street America Group, Hanger, Inc., Regency Realty Group, Macy’s, Sawgrass Country Club, Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute and Pusser’s Caribbean Grille
